Dragon Oath Pre-Closed Beta event begins in North America this Thursday, July 9, 2009. The new server will also be open named DEATH VALLEY. The storyline behind Dragon Oath is based on the Chinese martial arts novel “Tian Long Ba Bu”. Dragon Oath is a free to play MMORPG, featuring with martial arts combat, and social interactions that are not typical of MMOGs because of particular background. The Changyou team is looking forward to your participation!

We will not delete your characters without advanced announcement during the Pre-Closed Beta test which aims at testing the stability and practicability of the systems, and capacity of the server. If you find a bug in the game, please report it in the forum. We will handle the issues as soon as possible and try our best to give gamers a better experience in Dragon Oath!

Dragon Oath embraces ancient Chinese culture and immerses our users in a mystical realm whose roots lay around the world. While ChangYou.com takes great pleasure in bringing this experience to N. American users we at ChangYou.com (US) also want to embrace the market here and adapt to your habits.
A minor way we would like to show ChangYou.com (US)’s willingness to embrace the N. American user is by our server names. We had decided to use N. American landmark and we chose to focus exclusively on United States landmarks, but even limiting ourselves geographically we were faced with many great choices.
In the end we chose United State National Parks. The first of which will be Death Valley, A superlative desert of streaming sand dunes, snow-capped mountains, multicolored rock layers, water-fluted canyons and 3 million acres of wilderness.
Through these server names we hope to not only spur your eagerness to learn about China , but also take interest in visiting our own National treasures…and hey, it doesn’t hurt gamers to go out and get a little sunlight.
