Gladius2 is a flash-based browser game with the look and feel of a full-price title: For the first time, the fighting arena has been scaled for full-screen use: that way, the 3D look and the graphic details really show up. Gameplay

Gladius2 offers action-packed game fun with hand-to-hand and long-range weapons. Numerous arenas are just waiting to be fought in – and as a Premium member you can even design your own arenas with the arena editor. Everything is in a complex 2D/3D environment and with fantastic details. The complicated graphics and the newest animation technology turn Gladius2 into a real action adventure!

Characters
After you’ve entered your registration data, select one of the three gladiators. You have the choice between:
- Versus: he is known for his speed and agility. His special ability is his extreme speed and his intuitive agility.
- Magnus: He is known for his bravery and his courage. His special ability is his enormous will to fight and his courageous defense.
- Priscus: He is known for his great power of impact. His special ability is his enormous power and his acute strength.

Gladiator Training
Training your gladiator is accomplished under Gladiator Info: you send your gladiator to the famous, but notorious gladiator school “Ludus Magnus” where the gladiator master is already waiting for you.

The more trained you gladiator is, the more enthusiasm he can elicit from the crowds: the public loves its heroes – the more muscles, the better. And every training level changes the appearance of your gladiator. He already has the first level, but is still a bit “lank”. Afterwards, his bodily condition at the training level “Vigere” will be average – if he trains further, he’ll be more muscular at the training level “Intritus”.

Arena
It’s getting serious! In the arena you go up against enemy gladiators to measure your strength with them.

The arena is divided into three leagues:
-3rd League: Ager Capuae
-2nd League: Verona Arena
-1st League: Roman Coliseum

You start as a novice in the 3rd League and play in it until you reach level 27. As soon as you advance to level 28, you enter the 2nd League. The 1st League is only reached by the 200 best gladiators – it is an elite league, similar to the national soccer league. Once you have reached the 1st League, you need to secure your position – you don’t get something for nothing here!

Every arena has a different scenery. Within each arena on the sidewalls you will find (top, bottom, left, right) small, round pitfalls which are protected by a mesh grate. You can change arena by going through them. Where you land when you change is random – unless you have a Premium account. As a Premium member, you can choose the arena you want to change to.

Missions
Every gladiator should practice his battle technique by fulfilling missions. At the begining of the game, the first mission awaits you – you can play it right away, or wait until you have gotten yourself oriented in the game and equipped your gladiator. Thanks to the missions you can practice with your weapons and you meet up with real opponents as well as with NPC opponents who are to be defeated.

Tournaments
In addition, you have the chance to take part in tournaments – because gladiator fights are exhibition fights which are intended to excite the crowds.

Tournaments take place on specific days and at specific times. Everyone who has reached a particular level for the tournament can take part in it. The tournament functions like a visit to the arena – only that many battles take place at the same time. The player with the most victories at the end of the tournament is declared the winner receives some great rewards.
