Norron, a vast multiplayer online RPG/strategy game based around Norse Mythology. Norron is played right in your browser, and it allows you to choose one of 15 Norse gods for your city to worship and one of four hero classes for the hero that will lead your city to victory.

Norron is a truly massive game that takes place in the war-ridden world of Midgard, the land of Norse Mythology. With over 100 quests, 10,000 weapons, 20,000 pieces of armor, dozens of unique research areas to invest in, and hundreds of players, the world of Norron is always sure to have something new and unexpected for you to find.

Features

Ages
Norron is a game that is played in ages, which means that the game runs for a given period of time, then starts all over again. Every age of Norron lasts for 85 days, and the name and schedule of the current age is always displayed in the box below the Norron sidebar at the left of the page. After an age ends, the rankings for that age are recorded in Valhalla, and then registration for the following age opens about 24 hours later.

Cities
Every account is represented in-game as a city, which has land, resources, buildings, military troops, and so on. Each city is a member of a kingdom, which is a group of cities that are allied together. Your city name is your primary means of identification within the game.

Land
Getting the most land is the ultimate goal of Norron. With more land come more villagers and buildings, and with more villagers and buildings come greater military strength and income. Every piece of land can have one building on it (note that pieces of land are often referred to as acres of land by the players of Norron). There are two ways to gain land in Norron: attacking another city and exploring new land.

Gods
There are 15 gods available to worship in the world of Norron, and each one offers a wide variety of unique bonuses and penalties to your city. The gods are split into three groups: the Aesir gods (decent all-around gods), the Jotun gods (very strong gods which provide little or no magic ability), and the Vanir gods (weak gods which provide excellent economies and magic abilities).

Heroes
Your hero is by far your strongest military troop, and it has many properties that your other troops do not have. Your hero can earn experience from performing various tasks, level up four basic attributes (some of which may benefit your entire city), go on quests to earn rewards, and wear equipment to increase his or her offensive and defensive power. There are four different hero classes to choose from, each of which has one unique attribute and several different strengths and weaknesses.
