Outerworlds is a free, browser based, massive multiplayer onlinegame in the far future. There are elements of role playing games and many strategic elements.
Join the war as a human and fight for the survival of the human race – or, as a alien, take care of the universe and remove the human infection for good. The decision is yours…
Join forces with your fellow players and fight your eternal (or new) enemies. Create a mighty fleet and fight in the glorious battles yourself, or care for the supply routes in your own part of space. Collect goods and secrects, find unique creatures who may join you in the battle against the scum of the universe.
Movement
You can move to another location by clicking on the field where you want to go.
Every move costs a certain amount of Action Points (AP).
You can safe up to 3000 AP, you get one new ap every 4 seconds.
The speed of your fleet determines the ap cost per field.
You can equip your ships with additional thrusters, to make your fleet faster.
The speed of the fleet is always determined by the slowest ship in the fleet.
First Steps:
* Collect ressources and sell them at a planets trade station to get money.
* Buy mining equipment soon to multiply your efficiency when collecting ressources. Buy cargo modules to reduce the need of returning to the planet so often.
* You can have *more than 1 ship* very cheap. Just go to a planets shipyard, select “new pilot” and a ship and from now on you have doubled your cargo room and fighting capabilities. You can have up to 5 ships in your fleet.
* If you loose a ship in battle or otherwise, you can get it back at any repair station of your race, it is *not* finally lost.
Battle mode
Click on an own ship to select it. If you selected one of your ships, click on the map, to fly the ship there.
Click an an enemy ship to attack it. Relevant skills and rules at the moment:
* Attack vs. Defense determines the hit chance (random number between 1 and Attack+100 of attacker needs to be largern than random number between 1 and Defense+20 of the target)
* Weapons vs. Shields if there is a hit (random number between 1 and weapon level * 2 is the damage)
* Distance between attacker and target determines fire speed.
* Speed determines the chance to board an enemy fleet.
Possible actions:
* Flee (total retreat)
* Board (alter 30 seconds of battle, you get some credits from your opponent)
* Self destruction (ship explodes and does damage to surrounding ships)
