Sunday League is a professional online football management game. You create the team, customise the way you want to play and battle it out against other players online.

Season-based

Sunday League is season-based. Each season lasts approximately 47 days – including 30 division matches and various cup competitions. A new season starts seven days after the last division game to allow for playoff matches and cup games. Prizes are awarded for many cup and ranking managers when the season ends. Also, top managers in the divisions are promoted or go into the playoffs for promotion. Bottom teams are relegated.

Invisible matches

Games are played twice a day. Friendlies, Private League games and Super SL league games are allplayed at 3pm GMT. Division matches, Champions Shield and Elite Cup games are played at 3am GMT. Games take about one hour to play.

However, while the games are played you cannot access your team. This being the Internet and all, it would just be too much for the server to take. But you can visit the newspaper, forum and shop.

Set different tactics for certain matches

If you have two matches at the same time, you can pick your team and tactics for both. Select different squads, tactics and advanced tactics by simply going to your Fixturelist and clicking on the red Tactics button next to the match you’re going to play. Make sure that you do this for all games. Any that aren’t set up in this way will use your Default squad, tactics and advanced tactics.

Join your friends even after season started

If your friends are in a different division unlucky, you still have the chance to join them. Find their league table using the pull-down menus on the Division Tables page. If one or more teams in their division has a small computer icon next to it, you can join the division by clicking JOIN DIVISION. Beware that you take over the lowest team in that division, but you DO take your team with you and its history.

Monthly jokes and funny quotes

Sunday League claims to be the funniest online football management. As an accessorie of the gameplay, they provide monthly jokes and funny quotes on their homepage. Most are related to football.
