Dogs of the Seas is a browser based Massive Multiplayer game. You start your adventure as an unknown pirate in the heart of the Caribbean. Battle and Trade your way to affluence and standing. Your armed battle ships that sail through the Caribbean shall make you famous and dreaded pirate!

Find valuable treasures, or hunt for other dreaded pirates. Take missions from the local agents, and qualify for adventurous smuggler jobs, pursue other smugglers or take part in regular events. Handle and trade with rare goods or produce valuable and powerful ships or cannons. Wild computer pirates and peaceful dealers populate the Caribbean waters along with thousands of fellow pirates. Sink your opponents and plunder their vessels in real-time battles player vs player (PvP) or against the computer generated factions. Trade with alliances or friends on the high seas for valuable possessions. Create an alliance or join another to participate in the political turmoil of the Caribbean.

Create your own pirate cove with more than 14 kinds of production buildings and develop it through two stages of technology. Build your own fleet from 22 different ship classes and sail between the ports of the 36 major cities, spread across six regions with more than 200 sectors. Character

Select your three characters from over 70 different virtual images. Whether fierce, cunning, dangerous or bold and beautiful – take your choice.

Advance your character by training your abilities (skills). Uniquely qualify your character with 8 different skills, each containing 3 sub-skills.
You can hone your skills to take up a career as a pirate or as a dealer, Weapon-smith or Shipwright or any combination of the above that pleases you. It is entirely your decision how you skill and train your character.

Remember it’s a rough life in The Caribbean! With a secretive community a diversified set of complementary skills can be very helpful in giving you the leading edge at Sea.

Alliances

In Dogs of the Seas, there are hundreds of alliances, waiting to battle with or against you.

The advantages of alliances are obvious. They are secretive groups of players, each with different abilities, that are mutually supportive and can help in reaching your goals. For instance, members with the best ships and cannons to provide awesome fire power against other powerful opponents can tactically lead to dominance of large territories.

These alliances have various tools:

- A forum of its own in the game – the so-called book of tactics.
- All alliance members have the location of all other members on the world map at all times.
- An alliance chat
- Alliance Common Stock
- Joint mail distribution

The founder of the Alliance can collect taxes for financing from the alliance members. He also has an alliance-authorization system, where he can assign members certain rights and roles.

Seafight

In Dogs of the Seas you can fight in real time against Computer opponents or against other players.

There are many function keys available, which also can be freely configured to optimize your battle tactics at sea. Besides your battle skills, the equipment of your ships and how you fit out your ships play a major role. Choose from 3 different sizes of cannon each have 5 different quality classes – From 15 different guns and 5 different types of cannon balls are part of your ordinance.

But make sure that in the face of your enemy you always show your broadside, otherwise you will be sure to miss. In cases of emergency you can still evade and excape using rescue or repair kits. Sink your opponents, as you can salvage there cargo from the flotsam the sea.

Game Concept

You take up the career as a pirate, let dealers and other pirates learn to fear you. Or you could concentrate more on production and trade. Become a major supplier of ships or cannons.

In ether way you can become rich and powerful, this is your fate in the Caribbean.

Dogs of the Seas has two main GUIs.

The first view shows you your own bay with your production houses, your harbour, your inventory and access to the market. Here you can also contact your agent who will give you orders for missions and quests.

The second is the view of the Caribbean Sea. It opens when you set sail in one of your vessels. You can see other ships to sink, or to trade with. Plot your route to various destinations or ports of call, do missions or transport your goods across the Caribbean.

Missions

Contact your Agent in your bay is any time you like, he will then allocate you with missions. On the successful execution of these missions you will collect experience and your reward, earn gold and get lucky with valuable items.

As you gain reputation with your Agent he will also send you on exiting smuggler quests! Or alternatively, you can take on the task of hunting rival smugglers.

Item

In the Dogs of the Seas world, there are more than 400 different items. These are the raw materials, of importance for the construction of buildings, ships, cannons and ammo. There are also many commercial products and rare objects of great value. All items can be exchanged among players or traded on the global market.
