BBGsite Plagiarized Our Articles related to online browser games

PlayBBG.com is a browser game site that is founded by an individual, driven by interest and passion; BBGsite.com, a “professional free online browser-based game portal”, backed by NetDragon Websoft Inc, which owns MMOsite.com, 91.com, TQ digital, BBGsite.com and Dragon’s call, an online game for browser platform.

In 2009, BBGsite has Plagiarized over 30 + articles and game features from playbbg.com, including WW2 Warfare, TransForce, BCwars, Earth Eternal, World of Lordcraft, Heroes of Kungfu, KungFu Online, and etc. It is a pity for BBGsite.com not to write and compose origianal articles and game introductions.

I was just contacting BBGsite.com’s PR specialist, Carolyn, via QQ: 347613335, and MSN and Email: cooperation@bbgsite.com, only to get an answer “how can you say we copied your articles?” luckily, they changed some text based on our version.

Plagiarism is not a great idea to run and operate BBGsite.com, which is nothing but the wholesale theft of someone else’s work or ideas. Also, it involes the offence for both BBGsite.com and Playbbg.com.

This article is prepared to help people around the world understand the real situation of copyrights BBGsite has infringed upon Playbbg.com pertaining to online game publishing.

Let’s take an example:

Chicago 1920 is a browser game which was published 2 days ago . In May 8, Playbbg.com has covered this German Game using (google translation tool) (not so good actually). However, Yesterday, May 10, Playbbg.com found BBGsite.com has Plagiarized this article again.

Here is the evidence offered by hiplayers.com

We remonstrated against such unsolicited  Plagiarism!

BBGSite and their related sites, MMOSite, etc, have turned to plagiarism for some time.

At one time they were ran by different people and came up with most of their own stuff. Over time the sites changed, they became more about “sexy” soft core porn pictures and plagiarized works than anything else. Very recently they got a new team of people, at least at MMOSite, so I’m hoping this new team will mean more real content of their own instead of stealing stuff from everybody else and soft-core porn.

Tho it does happen to them too. I wrote some stuff specifically for their site in the past (when they were a better site) which then popped up at a number of other sites as if they were their own articles. It doesn’t make it right for them to do it, but it seems to happen all around too much…

Watchman, I was thinking that, but knowing the site I’ve watched them plagiarize tons of articles over the past year. We’re not talking about one article that may have been a coincidence (a big one if it was) but we’re talking about many many articles over a long period of time. They don’t just plagiarize here, they do other sites too.

At least their other site (MMOsite) finally started to link to the other’s articles rather than just copy and paste it up.

See they lost most of their game contacts and writers, and so rather than shut down the sites they just started to copy others works and rely on posting user’s blogs as their main news feeds.

I hope that they are going to improve, like I said their other site got new writers and staff, I hope BBGsite is getting some of them to work on that too. If they just want to link to other’s news finds, that’s fine, but show where you’re getting it from, don’t pretend it’s your own article…
