Shanda Acquires GoldCool With Select Free MMORPGs Pocketed

Shanghai—-Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited (NasdaqGS: SNDA) announced on Friday that it has officially acquired Shanghai-based GoldCool Games (12ha.com)  aimed at integrating and operating more highly-praised Massively Multiplayer Online  games.

According to Yahoo Finance.com, Shanda has gained franchises of Bubble Fighter developed by South Korea’s Nexon Corp.  and the game in question will be published exclusively in Mainland China.

Along with the acquisition, Shanda has also brokered an exclusive right to operate the fantasy game “Mir III” in China with co-owners Actoz Soft Co. and Wemade Entertainment Co., both also based in South Korea. Shanda also bought rights to develop a film based on ” 2D MMORPG Mir II.”, which is a big step forward to entertainment and film market.
