NetEase will launch its first closed beta of World of Warcraft in China on July 30, 2009.
The official said that the WOW contents of the censorship has come to an end, and the specific amendments will be completed on July 19. It is understood that Blizzard is focusing on the modification work carried out at the moment.
Taking into account the operation of agents, and Netease need to sort out a large number of data conversion, the Chinese government allows the Netease to release a testing version of WoW. This move gives Netease an opportunity to conduct an internal test in terms of server stability, data correctness and content legitimacy.
However, Netease only allows old players to test approved WOW and give them a chance to take part in the closed beta testing and any they will not open the public registration services for new players . Meanwhile, the Netease operators said that they will not take Top-up or Charging services during the internal closed beta.
“We just take all necessary measures to effectively safeguard the interests of the old players. ” Netease said.
