Blood Bowl is an ultra violent team sport, based on the Warhammer fantasy world. Build up your team with Orcs, Elves, Dwarfs and many other fantasy creatures before jumping into the bloodiest arenas!
Blood Bowl was originally created by Jervis Johnson and Games Workshop in 1987. The board game, a parody of the Warhammer world and American Football, met with success in the 80s and the 90s. The world’s largest Tabletop Wargames company continues to sell the game’s miniatures today. Also, its creator never stopped improving and enriching Blood Bowl’s game system and universe with several rule changes.
Today, Blood Bowl remains very popular around the world thanks to a large community of players and numerous dedicated fansites. As for old Blood Bowl players, they have unforgettable memories of all the passionate games they used to play. Throughout the years, the original Blood Bowl game has earned a legendary status.
Blood Bowl: the game
The game is a combination of a tactical game and a sports game The basics are extremely simple: two teams, one ball. The team that carries the ball into the opponent’s end zone scores a touchdown, the team with the most touchdowns at the end of the game is the winner. However, it’s how you decide to do this that makes things interesting, the ends justify the means! It’s not just the players you have at your disposal either. You can bribe the referee’s to look the other way as you cripple or trample annoying opponents and hire illegal wizards to give you a hand directly from the crowd… Blood Bowl severely tests the finest tacticians’ strategies
There are many races to accommodate every player’s profile and even more strategies for experimenting. Winning a game requires a strong game-sense and a lot of self-control.
For the player’s enjoyment, omnipresent humor and the use of spells, weapons, and other non-regulatory means place Blood Bowl outside of the classic sport simulation genre.
Review of Blod Bowl from a French Guy
A game 20 years ago, I had half forgotten reappears on pc. ^ ^
Two teams compete on a field with the rules of Blood Bowl (I’m not a purist, but complied).
Blood Bowl, football (the stuff on Canal + with the comments of Eddie George ^ ^) but this version is Warhammer.
The big plus, those who make me shudder:
- Turn-based game (real time but are also never tested)
- Xp players
- Permanent death ^ ^
- PvP (well networked with the solo is also an RN calamitous it seems)
- Strategy (whether between two sticks)
- System of private leagues for fun with friends and out of the league public
- Lastly, the rules bloodbowl, simple and effective.
Linterface in combat (in play forgiveness) is intuitive and practical.
Clearly, the log is well done, and teaching (we quickly understand why you miss this dodge 5 +).
It’s pretty much it moves, the sound is cool (I love that fades back, my skinks Schlink * *).
A server international I like it too.
In game, we stress, fever, laughs and cries as events (td, interceptions, injuries …).
The parties are not alike, some are pure beam ceilings, but the prime consideration if we want wins. especially with the weak teams ^ ^.
The duration of a match, it ranges from 20 minutes to two hours, it depends on how long the towers, set in advance (40 sec / t = 20 min – 2 min / t = 1 hour – 4 min / t = 2:00).
The teams operate (xp / players) and players can specialize.
Lastly, the team plays well but not always … the dead are there, as debilitating injuries.
Brief should not become attached to his skink lvl 5 it will necessarily disappear.
Do not whine either if your team advances to the rank (value of the team, useful to distrust in the same category) 2000 1500 … in passing the ranking system is well done, you can defy + stronger than you, it stays balanced.
Less important but nice, it y some skins to customize your players, you can change the name, short of basic nice. Skins evolve fct lvl players or their abilities (the chaos that has the ability three arms bah he’ll have his third arm, the one with pestilence, will have his will on the ground)
The defects, if y’en has not during the matches:
- The chat interface, despite living in new language is a perpetual flood very fast lfg …
- The mode of invitation, so there ’s concerns. there’s no challenge to the blind, must flooder its lfg or scouting for coaches available, but it is not practical (or is prompt ala mouse?). damage.
- The number of teams per account is also (for now) limited.
Finally nothing repellent either, the main thing is the games, fortunately, and it more than succeeds.
In the end, the game “pc network” is a good alternative to mmo, for those who like to play turn-based AND pvp. The Enthusiasts BB meet again rules LRB 5.
