Q. What the heck is Murder Motel?
A. Murder Motel is a very old game designed for dial-up bulletin boards. It was originally conceived by Sean D. Wagle for the Commodore 64 based BBS software, Color64. It was a highly addictive and extremely popular game that was ported to many different BBS systems, and has seen many variations over the years.
Q. What is the object of the game?
A. The object of the game is kill other guest-characters in the game, plain and simple. You’ll do it with a variety of weapons, and very brutally. If you have any problems with the concept of a fantasy game in which you must kill someone else, then Murder Motel is not for you! In fact, you must be over the legal age of 13 to play this game, due to issues expressed here.
Q. Can I play more than one account?
A. NO. Multiple accounts will not be tolerated.
Q. Can me and my friends play together as a team?
A. Murder Motel was designed as an all out Death-match, where every other guest is either a target or stalking you. Team-play simply isn’t part of the game design.
Q. My brother / sister / friend and I use the same computer or use networked computers to play from. Can we both play in the same game?
A. It’s our standard policy to only allow 1 Guest from any given IP address to play in any single game. Anytime we see more than one account being played from a given IP address, we block all accounts except the first one created under that IP.
